Filed under: Uncategorized @ 6:03 am and

I spent a joyful holiday. I went back my hometown in winter vacation. When I go back to Yamagata, I use Sinkansen. On 29th December, when I go back, Sinkansen’s system was out of order. So there were many  people in Tokyo station. I worried about I could go back to my hometown. However I could ride on Sinkansen. I arrived at Yamagata 6pm. Then I went alumni meeting of former classmates in junior high school. I enjoyed talking about our memory. And 2nd January, I met my cousins in my home. We watched TV, played  game. I take energy from friends and family.  I can reconfirm importance of our bonds. I think I should achieve many work.

Winter vacation

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 7:08 am and

I am going to go back to my hometown in winter vacation. In this summer, I went my hometown, Higashine city. In there, I met my old classmates. We enjoyed talking, Karaoke, firework, bowling and so on. And we looked very beautiful starry heaven in our elementary school. I was very impressed. It was my first time I looked a shooting star. We promised we will meet again in this winter. I think old friends are precious. They make me relaxed. Staying days may be short because I must work and study for test. So I will treat time I meet my friends as an important matter. I am looking forward to coming winter vacation.

Comparing co-educational and single-sex schools

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 8:07 pm and

There are single-sex schools and co-educational schools. In each system, there are advantages. In single-sex school, you have a lot in common with your classmates. Your topic of conversation, value system and ways of thinking may be similar. You can talk freely in your class. And you can concentrate on studying and club activities. In contrast, co-educational can encounter many thinking. You will study how to talk, treat and cooperate with the opposite sex. There are some of the differences between single-sex schools and co-educational schools. We should carefully consider the good points and bad points of each school when we chose school.

I’d like to introduce Kotatsu. It is Japanese traditional furniture. We use in winter. It is heating table. Table is covered a blanket. Electric device(is attached table)heats inside. A blanket prevents emission heat. So it becomes hot. We enter own legs to warm. We can relax. In winter, family gathers place there is Kotatsu. So they can spend  together. In particular, when it is the New Year holidays, we use Kotatsu. It is said “Nesyougatu”(people doesn’t go out in New Year holidays). And traditionally, mandarin orange is put on the table. Hello. My name is Asami. I’m 19 years old. I’m Gaitan student.  I’m from Yamagata prefecture. Yamagata is located in north of Japan. Therefore I live by myself now. I work in STARBUCKS. It’s very enjoyable working.

I like listening to music. Especially I like Utada Hikaru. Do you know her? She is very famous singer in Japan. She sings R&B mainly.  If you don’t listen to her music, I recommend listening to her music. “Hikari” is wonderful. It was used with KINGDOM HEARTS.

And I like movies too. I have watched Spider Man, Charlie’s Angel, Enchanted, The Terminator recently.  Hollywood actor are fascinating. I like Johnny Depp. He is very cool! MY favorite movie is Pirates Of Caribbean. Please tell me your favorite movie.

Paper swapping

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 12:28 am and

When teacher want to know the results of quiz, sometimes he(she) tell students to swap their papers.  The way said paper swapping is general for many schools.  However, there are both proponents and opponents with regard to this problem.  Proponents of paper swapping are mainly teachers.  They think it is the quickest way to check student’s results.  Teachers can save time too.  Proponents said this practice stimulate students.  On the other hand, opponents think we should protect student’s privacy.  There are Kids who don’t want people to know thier own grade.  Thus, there are both proponents and opponents with this problem.  We should be careful in deciding which stance to choose.

Shoud children have their own cell phones?

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 7:38 am and

A lot of children have own cell phone. Many parents think having cell phone is safe for children, but my opinion is different. I think children should not have cell phone.

Firstly, their communicate skill will decline. If they have cell phone, they will use e-mail than tel. So, opportunity of talk with face to face is decrease. I think talking is important. Communicate skill is developed by face to face. Only e-mail can’t make really good relation.

Secondly, cell phone has many problem and dangerous. From certain survey, 12% of elementary school students have been experienced bully by using e-mail or Internet. For example, private information was recorded in Internet. They received e-mail of slander. I heard a child suicide because he had received e-mail of slander. If they had not cell phone, it would not happen. And Internet may cause accident. An online dating site, fictitious demand mail and so on. Children are not enough to understand which is safe or dangerous.

These are the reasons why I support the opinion that children should not have cell phone. These are for children’s future.

The experiment conducted by Pavlov

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 12:06 am and

Human being has the ability to learn. Then, does dog have this ability? To answer this question, Pavlov performed an interesting experiment using his dog. In this experiment, a bell is rung whenever food is put before the dog. Pavlov continued to do this for several weeks. One day, after several weeks, a bell was rung, but food wasn’t put before the dogs. A bell was rung, however, the dog began to salivate. When a bell was rung, the dog thought it is dinner time. The results clearly show that dog has the ability to learn.

Hilary Duff

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 7:56 pm and

I like her song. This is “Why Not”

You think you’re going nowhere

When you’re walking down the street

Acting like you just don’t care

When life could be so sweet

Why you wanna be like that

As if there’s nothing new

You’re not fooling no one

You’re not even fooling you

So walk a little slower

And open up your eyes

Sometimes it’s so hard to see

The good things passing by

There may never be a sign

No flashing neon light

Telling you to make your move

Or when the time is right

[Chorus:]

(So) Why not

Take a crazy chance

Why not

Do a crazy dance

If you lose a moment

You might lose a lot

So… why not

Why not

Why not take a crazy chance [X2]

You always dress in yellow

When you want to dress in gold

Instead of listening to your heart

You do just what you’re told

You keep waiting where you are

For what you’ll never know

Let’s just get in to your car

And go, baby go

[Chorus]

Oh… oh

I could be the one for you

Oh… yeah

Maybe yes

Maybe no

Oh… oh

It could be the thing to do

What I’m saying is

You gotta let me know

You’ll never get to heaven or even to L.A.

If you don’t believe there’s a way

Why not

Take a star from the sky

Why not

Spread your wings and fly

It might take a little

And it might take a lot

But… why not

Why not

[Chorus]
